Ruth Frobe Personal Chef

I'd love to be your personal chef.

Preparing meals and learning about nutrition and health has always been fun for me.  I discovered how much I love to cook for people professionally as a tour guide with Bicycle Adventures.  As much as I love being on my bike and showing guests beautiful places, one of the highlights of being a guide has always been creating meals for a big group of hungry riders.

I volunteer my time and cooking skills for organizations such as Arms Around Bainbridge, making meals for individuals living with cancer and being part of a cooking team for special events. As a lifetime athlete with BA and MS degrees in physical education, I understand the importance of good nutrition and healthy food choices; my body performs well when I eat well and the research suggests I'm not the only one.

I am a member of the United States Personal Chef Association and continue to use my training in health and fitness as a personal chef.

Everyone has a "sport" or a passion in the world, whether that be raising kids, gardening, doing triathlons,  going to Crossfit, aging gracefully, or simply staying alert for a full day in an office cubicle. Eating well is an essential and FUN part of feeling great and performing well. Meals should be something we look forward to every day and a way we actively engage in good self-care.  Sometimes it's challenging to stay on track with a healthy nutritional plan, so I'd like to help you make it happen.

Thank you for taking the time and expending the energy to give to us. The timing could not have been better, what with the unexpected complications of radiation. Every bit of help we have makes our lives more manageable. Thank you so much.

What a wonderful gift to receive healthy meals after a long day of medical appointments. Chemotherapy treatments take up so much time and effort that putting nutritious food on the table can be daunting. Ruth’s service is a welcome relief from daily tasks of cooking food...and she provides it with a smile!”
